Mumbai. The trend of growth in the Indian stock market since last Monday continued after 4 days on Thursday as well. The market was trading well throughout the day, only to slip on the last hit.

Today was a highlight of the trading day of Thursday, August 5. In today’s trading, the 30-company index Sensex of BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) touched its all-time high of 54,717.24, then where was the Nifty of NSE (National Stock Exchange) also going to lag behind. Nifty also touched its all-time high of 16,349.45 today.

The Sensex was trading at a level of 54,492.84 at the time of the closing bell of today’s day. The Sensex today gained 123.07 points and gained 0.23 per cent. On the other hand, Nifty closed at the level of 16,294.60 today. Nifty gained 0.22 percent or 35.80 points today.

Today, the Sensex opened at a level of 54,576.64 in the day’s trading, touching the highest level of 54,717.24 and the lowest level of 54,230.89. Whereas Nifty opened at 16,288.95 level in today’s trade, touching a maximum of 16,349.45 and a minimum of 16,210.30. It is to be known that yesterday Sensex had closed at 54,369.77, while Nifty closed at 16,258.80 level.

Bharti Airtel, Eicher Motor, ITC, Tech Mahindra and Tata Steel gave the biggest gainers to investors in today’s trade, while SBI, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv were the biggest losers.
