In the second trading day of the week, on Tuesday, August 3, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex gained 1.65 percent and closed at 53,823.36, rising 872.73 points from yesterday’s closing. Today the Sensex touched the maximum level of 53,887.98, which is its all-time high level.

On the other hand, the National Stock Exchange’s (NSE) 50-company index Nifty gained 1.55 percent at the end of today’s trading day and ended the day at 16,130.75, rising 245.60 points. Nifty touched a high of 16,146.90 in today’s full day trading, which is also Nifty’s all-time high.

The Indian stock market had indicated in this morning’s opening itself that how big a flight it is going to get today, but closing with a gain of more than one and a half percent is a very positive sign. Let us inform that at the time of today’s opening, the Sensex had started the session at 53162.24 with a gain of 211.61 points, while the Nifty opened at 15935.24 with a gain of 50.05 points.
