Team India can change playing 11 in WTC final, know which player will get a chance

IND Vs NZ WTC 2021 Final: The first day of the final of the ICC World Test Championship between India and New Zealand was washed out due to rain. In the final match, the toss has not been done yet. But now in view of the changed situation in Southampton, the Indian team has got a chance to change the playing 11. According to the rules, teams can change their XI till the toss is held.

Since the toss could not be played due to rain on the first day of the WTC final match, both the teams will have a chance to change the XI depending on the strategy. The Indian team had declared the playing XI on Thursday itself, in which it had given place to two spinners and three fast bowlers.

After the first day’s play was washed out due to rain, it will be interesting to see whether India will replace one of the spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja with another fast bowler.

Gavaskar picked a spinner

Former Team India captain Sunil Gavaskar has advised Virat Kohli to make changes in the already announced playing 11. Gavaskar says that Team India should now enter the field with one of the spinners either Ravindra Jadeja or R Ashwin. Sunil Gavaskar now wants to see Team India enter the field with an extra batsman in the final.

Sunil Gavaskar said, “The toss has not happened, so you have a chance to make changes in the playing 11. Now the conditions of the field can prove to be more beneficial for the fast bowlers of New Zealand. A spinner should be dropped from the team and an additional batsman should be made part of the playing 11.

If Team India follows Gavaskar’s advice, then Hanuma Vihari can be a part of playing 11 in place of R Ashwin or Ravindra Jadeja.
