This special record was made in the name of Jhulan Goswami in ODI cricket, became the first woman to do so

Indian women’s cricket team’s fast bowler Jhulan Goswami made a big achievement in the World Cup being played in New Zealand. In the match against England on Wednesday, he completed his 250 wickets in ODI cricket by LBW opener Tammy Beaumont. She is the first woman bowler to reach this figure. No female bowler is even close to her record. Till now no woman bowler in the world has taken 200 wickets.

Such has been Jhulan’s cricket career
Jhulan made his international debut on 6 January 2002 in an ODI match against England. Since then, she has been a regular player of the Indian women’s team. In his international career spanning 20 years, he has played 199 ODIs and picked up 250 wickets. In the next World Cup match, the record of playing 200 ODI matches will also be recorded in his name.

Jhulan has been strong in Test and T20 as well
Test matches are rarely played in women’s cricket. Jhulan has played 12 Tests in his career. In this, he has taken 44 wickets at a bowling average of 17.34. He also has 56 wickets in 68 T20 matches. His bowling average in T20 is 21.94.

Lost in the match against England
In the Women’s World Cup, the Indian team had to face defeat at the hands of England in the match on Wednesday. In this match, the Indian team was all out for just 134 runs while playing first. In reply, England had achieved the small target losing 6 wickets. Currently, both these teams are in the race for the semi-finals.
