Today lakhs of people are taking a ‘dip of faith’, 70 people found infected so far

Amidst increasing cases of Kovid in the country, Magh Mela is being organized in Prayagraj, UP. This fair of faith can be a super spreader of Kovid. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, lakhs of people will take bath today i.e. on Friday. Kovid has exploded in the fair. There is a constant demand to cancel the fair, but the fair is being held in Prayagraj. The question is, why is this fair held during the pandemic? Lakhs of devotees are going to take a bath in the Ganges amidst this event which lasted for 47 days.

In view of the crowd of lakhs, preparations have been made. But the question of the fair to be held in the midst of the third wave of the Kovid epidemic is coming under even more questions and the reason for this is that the Kovid virus has entered the Magh Mela. Meanwhile, 18 more people have been found infected with Kovid in Magh Mela. A total of 70 people have been infected so far. These figures are before the crowd of devotees coming on Makar Sankranti. This is just the data of investigation of policemen and select people. After the increase in the crowd from today onwards, a large number of infected people can come to the fore if investigated.

Even after the explosion of Corona bomb, the situation of Magh Mela has not changed. The government is busy making claims, but the ground reality seems to be only negligence. Monday, January 17, marks the beginning of Paush Purnima. More than 1 lakh saints, mahatmas are residing here. The government has geared up to make the Magh Mela grand. More than two dozen swings and exhibitions are awaited after taking out a tender worth Rs 2.5 crore. But all this information is becoming more worrying due to Kovid. However, the claims of following the instructions of Kovid from the administration are increasing.

Why Magh Mela in the time of pandemic?
– Is Magh Mela more important than life?
Will the problem not increase after the corona blast in the fair?

Now the hope rests on the High Court, where a petition has been filed to stop the fair. But the High Court has refused to hear immediately. Now the High Court is going to hear the matter like a regular case. The matter is expected to come up for hearing on Monday.
