India vs West Indies 3rd ODI Playing XI: The last match of the ODI series between India and West Indies will be played on Friday, February 11 at 1.30 pm at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Rohit Brigade, who won the first two ODIs, would like to clean the West Indies by winning the third match. At the same time, the eyes of the visiting team would like to save their credibility by winning the third ODI.
Before the start of this series, four players including opener Shikhar Dhawan were found to be Corona positive. However, now after the return of Dhawan, the winning team combination can be changed. In his absence, Ishan Kishan opened the innings in the first match and Rishabh Pant in the second match.
After the 44-run victory in the second match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma had said that Dhawan would play the last match. He had said, ‘Shikhar will play the next match. It’s not always about the result. He needs to spend time on the field. This means that vice-captain KL Rahul will do it again in the middle order. Rohit couldn’t walk in the last match, but he and Dhawan can bust any bowling attack if they are on track. Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav will enter the middle order.
Suryakumar has secured his place by scoring 64 runs in the last match. All-rounder Deepak Hooda will have to make room for Dhawan. It has to be seen whether Shreyas Iyer is available for selection or not.
Indian bowlers performed brilliantly in the first two matches to restrict West Indies to 176 and 193 runs. Now after winning the series, the team management can make some changes and give chances to new players.
With left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav eager to make a comeback from injury, he or leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi could be brought in. If this happens, Yuzvendra Chahal or Washington Sundar can be out.
Apart from this, Indore fast bowler Avesh Khan is also waiting to get a chance. Fast bowler Pranand Krishna took four wickets and Shardul Thakur also bowled well. So there is little hope of getting them out. Mohammad Siraj will have to stay out when Avesh plays.
West Indies, on the other hand, will play to save the reputation. In the last 17 matches, she could not play the full 50 overs for the 11th time. Captain Kieran Pollard and all-rounder Jason Holder will have to play responsibly. Good performances will also be expected from Shai Hope, Brendan King and Nicholas Pooran. The fast bowlers did well in the second match, but the role of the spinners would be crucial.
Probable playing XI of West Indies- Nkrumah Bonner, Shai Hope (wk), Shamrah Brooks, Nicholas Pooran, Kieran Pollard (c), Jason Holder, Akil Hossein, Fabian Allen, Odeon Smith, Alzarri Joseph, Kemar Roach.
Probable playing XI of India- Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (WK), KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur/Deepak Chahar, Mohammad Siraj/Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal/Kuldeep Yadav and Praneek Krishna.
