How was India’s day in the Olympics on Sunday
Indian badminton player PV Sindhu created history by winning the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics on Sunday. Apart from this, the men’s hockey team also made it to the semi-finals by defeating Great Britain. Let us know about the performance of Indian players on Sunday-
PV Sindhu won the women’s singles bronze medal by defeating Bing Xiao (China) 21-13, 21-15 in the women’s singles bronze medal playoff match itself and became the first Indian woman to win two medals at the Olympics.
The Indian men’s team defeated Great Britain 3-1 to reach the semi-finals.
Satish Kumar (+91kg) crashed out of the quarterfinals after losing 0-5 to world champion Bakhodir Jalolov (Uzbekistan).
In the men’s individual event, Anirban Lahiri finished joint 42nd and Udayan Mane at 56th.
