TVS group to help Rs 40 crore for patients fighting Corona

Chennai . Two-wheeler major TVS Motor, Sundaram Clayton and group companies have pledged Rs 40 crore as support to support nationwide efforts to stop the spread of Kovid-19. TVS Motor said on Friday that the amount would be used to supply life-saving items such as oxygen constructors, PPE kits, medicines and medical equipment across the country. The initiative has been taken by the Srinivasan Services Trust (SST), the social arm of TVS Motor Company and Sundaram-Claire Limited.

According to TVS Motor, as a part of this initiative, the company will provide 2,000 oxygen constructors in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh during the second wave of Kovid-19. In addition, the company will also supply more than 20,000 food packets per day to employees working in hospitals and health centers.

The company will distribute face masks, oximeters, PPE kits, hand sanitizers and essential medicines to more than 500 government health centers and hospitals in these states.

Additionally, the company will continue to provide all possible support to the Kovid care centers in rural areas across the country.

After vaccinating all its employees over the age of 45, the company will accelerate its effort to step up the vaccination campaign for all people over the age of 18 as a next step.

Last year, during the first wave of Corona, TVS Motor Group announced a contribution of Rs 60 crore to support.
