TVS Motor exports 1 lakh two-wheelers in March

Chennai | Two-wheeler and three-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company Limited said on Wednesday that its two-wheeler exports reached one lakh units in March 2021. “This is a significant opportunity for TVS Motor, as our international two-wheeler business achieved sales of one lakh units in March,” Sudarshan Venu, joint managing director of TVS Motor Company said in a statement.

TVS Motor also said that the UK-based Norton Motorcycle is currently finalizing the construction of the new factory and is expected to open by the middle of the second quarter of 2021.

In fact, recently the company acquired Norton Motorcycle and the company is going to open a state-of-the-art factory. It is currently under construction and can be opened in the middle of the second quarter. With this, the company will have a new beginning.

The Indian company, through one of its overseas subsidiaries, acquired Norton Motorcycle in April 2020 for £ 16 million (approximately $ 20 million).

TVS Motor said, “Norton is currently finalizing the construction of its new factory in Solyhull and is expected to open by the middle of the second quarter of 2021. This will usher in a brand new chapter.”

In January 2021, Norton Motorcycle announced that the company would move towards the most advanced manufacturing facility.
